FACILITATION - FORTH WORTH TX

Intro to Liberatory Design, Texas Christian University Forth Worth, TX

Designers: Morgan Vien & Paul Kim

Design Questions

  • How might we set a foundation for liberatory design practices that allow for participants to understand the cycle of design and to develop the skills to locate where they are in the design process and what to do next?

  • How might we create ways to infuse a leaders’ change process mid cycle with new energy, strategy and intention?

The Experience

We hosted a day long immersive liberatory design experience that allowed participants to move between the designer and designee and sink into what it looks and feels like to practice design thinking in a liberatory, reflective, joyful and impactful way.

The Deliverables and Outcomes

  • Understanding that Liberatory Design is a type of design thinking that integrates a design, an equity and a complexity lens.

  • Prototypes to apply to personal change efforts in context

  • Design practices to integrate into leadership methods
