District (OUSD) (Program Director Systemic Instructional Review (SIR))
As a leader, coach, and facilitator, Bri helps teams develop antiracist learning cultures as a part of systems transformation. She is a former teacher and turnaround principal whose education has yielded a marketing degree, an MBA, a Doctorate in Social Justice, and a marketing degree despite learning to read late in life. Bri is currently the founder and executive director of 3Ls: Literacy. Leadership. & Liberation, which recalibrates learned behaviors to improve literacy rates using community-based approaches, one neighborhood at a time.
Bri began her professional life in market research and sales before discovering a greater purpose in education. Each step of her journey through education has been made with a focus on empowerment for more youth. As a senior liberated leadership and literacy coach or program director for systemic instructional review, Bri operates with courage and acumen. This is especially important because Bri loves to work on problems that require difficult conversations - racism, sexism, all of the isms people are afraid to discuss.
Bri’s work in systems change is inspired by Sojourner Truth. Like the great abolitionist, Bri considers herself a servant leader whose work is grounded in faith, integrity, stewardship, and the strength to speak truth to power. Similarly, her goal is to help heal and build community through empathy and advocacy.
